Strength is fair similar with taller 5th and 6th, then different style linkage. Thats my understanding at least
Forgot, they also do not have an LSD up front which is a major plus for STi 6speed IMO

It's the same exact transmission as the STi with an open front diff, viscous center and better spaced 5th and 6th.

IMO if they are planning on changing the front diff anyways this is a good choice, but they are hard to find.

Yep everything is completely interchangeable between a spec.B 6spd and a STi 6spd, all you need to do is drill out the plug in the case if you add a DCCD center diff.
