for some reason my girlfriend is mad that I don't think shes right about girls checking me out. Its a weird topic but I think shes just being the regular protective girlfriend and assuming any girl looking our way is checking me out (like the way I am about guys looking in our direction).

and yeah, shes mad I dont believe her

EDIT: I think maybe it had something to do with my awesome half front tooth

I try as best I can; my head's full of "what-ifs" and "theoreticals", but my hands-on experience is somewhat limited.

EQ Ed already woke it up. I had 150 whp and ran 15.3s until Ed spend a few hours tweaking my ECU. (His street dyno estimates 200whp on pump gas now)

I don't think paul tunes 4eats... at least he didn't at the time. Something to do with the way the transmission hunts for gears on the dyno.

Its actually a really fun torquey car to drive now, with what I've done. it's a shame im going back to stock

You can dyno Subaru 4EATs by putting them in second gear. They will hold it to redline. At least they used to, dunno about the more recent model years.

still does hold it in 2nd. mike said something about 2nd gear not being good for dyno though

I didn't know the performance gap between a stock 4EAT and a stock 5MT was that big.

Does it start off in first and shift to second, or does it start off in second gear? I've driven a couple of Fords with 4EAOD trannys that LOCKED it in second when you put the lever in '2'.

It's not as good for tuning because you don't develop enough engine load.

If you really want some fun dyno numbers from a 4EAT car, dyno it in 'D.' It gives you super powah! I had like 210whp when we did it on my RS

So, you made as much as my 5MT RS did up here?

So in theory, the best way to tune a 4EAT car is with multiple dragstrip runs?

No, because you won't get a realistic simulation of "spirited" driving conditions. You won't be able to cover every cell in each map like you can with a manual on the dyno.
