Quick background: If a licensees wishes to release a facility where radioactive material was previously used/stored, they need to perform a survey and series of wipe tests showing that no residual materials/contamination is left behind after they clean it up.
Get an official decommissioning report submitted with following statement: "During our visit for the closeout survey, the impacted area (hot lab) was in the process of being renovated. All furniture, shelves, carpet and doors had been removed. Walls had been freshly painted. Wipes were not possible."

Okay so going back to your original question of what SSD to get I would get the 500GB SSD and swap out your OS onto that. Eventually get rid of the 4 HDs down to 1 or 2 drives since 4 is just eating a bunch of power.
