Who wants a new subaru?
2008 Subaru STi - $6k off and 0% for 63 months
I searched and didn't see this, so I thought I would post given the popularity of the Saabaru deal a few years back.
THE DEAL
Subaru of America is offering up to $5k cash back to dealers that sell a certain number of STIs between now and the end of the sale, 1/2/09. My dealer said their number was 2, but I have also read 3 and 4. Regardless, work off the assumption your local dealer will be getting $5k cash back from SOA and negotiate from there. In addition, they are offering 0% for 63 months for "well qualified" buyers. My finance guy showed me the paperwork and it listed 700 as the credit score needed, but he said they had financed a guy with 685 the day before. Subaru's website does not list this deal, but it's been confirmed by numerous dealers.
What I did was go on line and request quotes from about 8 dealers that were within driving distance. The all initially offered about $3k discount via email. I responded and mentioned the $5k SOA money and said my best offers were discounted from there. Out of the 8 dealers, all but one replied with at least $5k off MSRP. The 3 best offers were $6200-$6500 of a base model which stickered at $36,300.
MY DEAL
MSRP - $36,300
Sale Price - $29,800 and 0% for 63 months
I have read of people getting as much as $9k off some of the fully loaded models, but have not confirmed this myself. My dealer said he could do close to $8k off on a model with Nav and BBS wheels.
DEALERS that are heavily discounting, figure at least $6k off a base model (Pulled from NASIOC except for the first 2 in Texas that I personally dealt with). I'll try to update this section as people post their deals.
Texas - Georgetown Subaru, Huffines Subaru
California - Shaver, South Coast, Irvine, Sherman Oaks
Colorado - Heuberger Motors in Colorado Springs
Conneticut - Suburban Vernon
New Jersey - Cherry Hill
Oregon - Carr Subaru Portland
Washington - Carter in Seattle
