Speaking of refunds.....
Short Version:
I place yellow page ad w/ ATT for ~$2k for one yr.
I pay it monthly, eventhough it generates ZERO calls.
End of contract, ATT says I owe $XXX.
I say no.
To collections it goes.
Collection lady says I owe $xxx.
I say no.
I ask how much $$$ has been paid thus far.
She says ~$13k.
Me:
...are you sure?
Her: Yes...$13k...you still owe $XXX.
I inform her that seeing my ad was originally ~$2k, she can deduct the $XXX I "owe" her from my $11k refund.
She said there must be an error.
