Do you really think the flat end of a Wii remote could penetrate the flat face of the TV frame? Maybe it could crack it and maybe it would destroy the remote in the process, but it's obvious someone created a hole in the TV and shoved the remote into it. I doubt the remote would even penetrate sheetrock - maybe make a serious dent in it, but not actually penetrate and stick.
