So this should be fun. I get to make some memory tuning changes to a Linux server. That's located in Puerto Rico. And I have no direct console access.

Sounds like you need to take a trip to Puerto Rico.
Then you can fix things good.

I want to build up a new computer... anyone think I can sneak a water-cooled Core2 SLI gaming machine in a cherry blossom red tower past accounting?

I'm waiting until vista is out and the hardware settles down. Secure input devices FTW. No more hardware keyloggers.

So what happens when your company fires their lead Citrix network admin?

Well in the case of my company, you find out that he had created several back door entrances and several full access admin accounts. After discovering that his standard login had been disabled he then proceeds to use his additional logins and brings your entire country to a standstill, wipes out all the data and stored emails on your email server and attempts to take down your company database. Unfortunatley for him, he was too dumb to wait until the middle of the night to do so and is caught in the act and stopped before he can finish what he started.

I guess that is aboot what we get for hiring an effing canadian to begin with eh?

Thank god that Chinese slave labor made those batteries.

Extra admin accounts? Looks like the system admin wasn't paying attention to his network.
