ahh...replacing something unreliable and gutless for something reliable and gutless...
make sure he rewires the whole thing so that the british wiring doesn't attack the miata wiring and burn the whole thing up.

yea exactly what i said...he has the triumph and then a 67 mustang...we WERE going to work on the mustang and i was helping him source alot of the parts needed, but he decided to go the ghey route and get a gutless miata motor (1.6 especially instead AT LEAST the 1.8) he wants to eventually put a super charger on the miata motor...overall i still say the project is a bit limp wristed

if colored tire smoke wasn't ghey enough....
Kumho has stooped to new levels of limpwristedness:
herbal essance tires.

Kumho’s engineers must have inhaled tire smoke one too many times. We admit that tires spewing forth colored smoke from a burnout are kind of neat, but only if a set of the $1995 tires (that’s $2K each!) is being melted on some other guy’s car. But tires scented with the aromatic effusion of Lavender and Rosemary? C’mon. Eric has reported back that they smell like herbs that have been growing in a tire planter. Makes sense.

holy crapola. I need to have the alarm control panel for my house moved like 3 feet and ADT wants $150 just for the first half hour, and then $26 for each additional 15 minutes. I'd move the box myself but I'm afraid I'll set off the alarm . The woman at ADT did mention to me the name of the company to whom they would contract the work, so I'm callin em directly to see if I get lucky on the price.

Call the ADT monitoring service.
Tell them work is being done and to ignore alarms until a certain time.
Mark all wires and move panel. Take detailed photos for extra insurance.
Call ADT back and tell them all is good (as long as you didn't ef anything up).

If that doesn't work then you can have the installer come out to hook it up the right way.
