Ah yes. New semester, new shens:
I enter Sequoia Hall and get to the ground-level elevator lobby. I approach the elevators and push the "UP" button. Doors open on the far left elevator. As I get to the elevator, I see a young woman on her phone already in the elevator. As she wasn't making any motion towards the door, I enter and ask, "Going up?" to which she did not reply. Doors close and I press "4". Again, I attempt to engage her and ask, "Going to 4 also?" Again, nothing. Car starts to move and, in response, she looks up at the number display. We arrive at the 4th floor, doors open and I start to make my way to the door. Just as I exit, she leans forward and presses "1".
I, quite literally, have nothing.
