It's actually an entire season of autocrossing, beginning in March. It's at the Stockton Fairgrounds. They have a banquet with the presentation of trophies at the end of the season in November. I autocrossed 4 weekends last year in STX and enjoyed it. A WRX won in STX and an STI won in the STU class. The Sacramento chapter has the 2000 and 2004 national champions as members, both of them driving modified Corvettes. I can tell you that it's less expensive than regular track days, and perhaps a bit more social during the season since you get to know and compete against other members; as well as improving your driving skill. But, it's not nearly as much fun as winding the Subie up out on the track (IMHO). I plan to do a bit of both this summer and fall. It keeps me out of trouble with my girlfriend
