Ugh! The help desk from another company called me and ask me to troubleshoot THEIR IE. I wanted to kill him. I said, "umm aren't you ***** company's help desk?" What I really wanted to say is, "So you're ***** IT? Why don't you just turn off the computer, put it back in the box and ship it back to dell"

So, your internal Win2K DNS servers can't pull the cnames aliased in our a-records.
Your external unix/BIND servers can.
You expect me to change the way all of our DNS lookups are handled for 12,000 unique customer sites, and our whole network/server topology, so that you don't have to fix your broke-*** internal DNS servers?
Add your goddamn working external servers to DHCP and be done with it.
Oh, that's a crappy workaround? USING WIN2K FOR DNS WHEN IT'S ****ING BROKEN IS A CRAPPY WORKAROUND!
