What are you looking to have done? I've heard that springfield won't sell parts for that gun. They said if anything happens (which they don't think will) you have to send it back to them.

That's the only thing that is keeping me from getting one.

 

Yeah they have a lifetime warranty so they wont sell parts for it... hopefully that will change.

I definitely want some new sights put on and eventually a barrel & a trigger kit...

 

a guy who works with my dad is an awesome gunsmith.
he's done some great work for us in the past on refurbishing my grandfather's collection and rebarrelling a 32 of my great grandfathers.
he's got his own private gun range on his property all measured off and everything.
he's in the El Dorado County area (duh).
