Just did it. Digital Cable and Cable Intarweb gets installed Saturday Morning. I'll pay for the last three months of DSL to not have to deal with the phone line noise and slow speeds. I'm tired of SBC. The SBC contract expires in August.

First three months of Cable Interweb is only $19/mo anyway.

Cable>DSL. Unless you live in the ghetto like I used to and there's like 5 connections on your node.

I concur. And SBC = horrible company. The first time I deployed, they popped me with a $200 early cancellation fee on my DSL. And I was a week from being done with the year contract. And under the Soldiers and Sailors' Relief Act, they shouldn't have charged me because I was leaving on military orders. *******s.

I've never had DSL but I always had really high latency with Comcast Cable. That and the ****ty customer service and ever increasing rates.

All you had to do is call them up and threaten them with litigation by the USAG. But hell, for a week, they should have waived it anyway.

Go after tham anyway. If you have the invoice with the fee, and you can prove you canceled because of deployment, they still haev to refund you or face the wrath of your congressman.

uh. do you have any skills? retail I guess if you won't work with food.

On that note, it kills me how so many kids today just won't work fast food. It's not that bad, and you save a ****load of money on eating.
