At least the new app uses html and has animated gifs instead of having to open in browser

I haven't played with the new version enough to see that yet. I still mostly use the desktop website in chrome for forums again. Each time they 'enhanced' Tapatalk over the last 2 years it's gotten worse and worse now I don't even bother with it anymore.
