this game is pretty damn fun. my wife is a mario addict, so we picked up this game tonight. paper mario drove me crazy with my short attention span, so i only played it for like 5 minutes total.
super paper mario combines the old style 2d play with the 3d play of mario 64 and the role playing aspect of paper mario. the 2d <-> 3d flipping is a pretty cool new twist on the game, you may look trapped in 2d but 3d reveals all kinds of options.

When I was in the Army, I had an associate that at worked @ Nintendo.
He gave me a copy of Mario brothers, Donkey Kong, etc, that were, ummm.....adult in nature.

Circuit City had a thing going on when the game was released - if they didnt have it in stock in the store @ 2pm, they would give you a $20 gift card. Fortunately for CC, and unfortunately for those looking for the freebie, all stores I visited were well stocked.
I've played the game for about an hour, and I admit to be a non-fan of platform games, and the mario franchise, but I gotta say, I am liking it.
