thinking abut buying a handgun next week since I will be legally able to do so. Anyone have any suggestions for a good handgun for starters at a decent price?

For an auto loader I’d recommend a 9mm Glock. For a revolver I’d recommend .38 snub nose

Are you turning 21 and want something to take to the range? .22 ammo is the least expensive. So if you just want to range weapon look at .22, for home defense / range 9mm and .38 are good balance for defense and affordability.
