I think he'll always make decent films. I'm no expert, but I appreciate how he uses subtle details to help tell the story. In "Unbreakable" he used really small movements and tight camera angles to give the feeling that the train was packed and small. The problem with him though, is that sometimes I think that he worries about the details so much that he forgets there has to be a story and decent acting to make a movie. I thought unbreakable as a whole was ok at best.

so I was at my friend's brother's high school graduation (yeah, we kept giving him crap because he graduated but still can't drink). I get there and see this fairly attractive looking girl, but it was a family event (not my family) so I wasn't gonna go "hey babe, how you doin?"
Later on I see my buddy posing for a picture with her so I ask my other friend (also not part of the family, we were just invited) "Hey, who's that chick Loran is with?" and Joey goes "I don't know, some relative." Loran gets back to the table and Joey leans over and tells him what I said. Actually, he tells him more because all I said is "who is she?" and Loran went "dude, she's like 14 or 15, she's a freshman" once again....I never said anything.
Loran's mom comes to the table and Loran leans over and tells her and she goes "Hahaha, she's 15 Matt!" and again, I say I didn't say anything
Then she goes "and thats her dad walking behind you" and theres this guy probably about 6' weighing in at maybe 300 pounds. He walks around the table and Loran's mom tells him what I said! I'm thinking "good god people! do you want him to eat me!?" and he laughs and says "you're gonna have to go through me first." My keys were on the table and I was tempted to go "you like Subarus?" but that whole dowery thing seems to be a bit offensive now adays, so I opted not to say that.
Later on the subject comes up AGAIN and the older guy sitting next to me was like "yeah, dude, there's no way shes 15! thats just not right!!" and we all joked about it some more and he bought us all a round of beer (he's a city council person, so he was buying votes )
So the girl, for some reason, ends up almost fainting and I go "dude, my dad was a doctor, let me see her" but Loran said no
Pictures (which Loran took, not me) are on the camera still.
Bottom line...jailbait FTL
