yay. i finally got my kitchen window blinds re-installed (again).
we bought some blinds with a lifetime warranty in mid '06. they're 8' long and 4' tall, so they're pretty big and bulky. anyway, a few weeks ago one of the pull strings snapped for the second time since we got em.
so i took them back to the store (again) and got the same response (again).
me: i'd like to have these sent back for repair, the cord snapped when i tried to open them.
them: well, they may not cover that because of the size.
me: but they're the ones that offer them in that size.
them: yeah but you're not really supposed to order them that big.
me: but YOU sold them to ME at that size... if they're not supposed to be made that big, why are they offered in that size?
anyway, now our kitchen is complete again.

Yosemite trip is done.
Tioga and Sonora passes still had plenty of snow on the sides of the roads.
Still sand on the roads.
It was a little cool at 9940+ feet ASL.
