A couple of years ago, half a year into my new job. Some lady at my work says, "Is that the new Dodge Neon?". I just replied, No.

I've gotten the worst....

"Nice car mister, do you have NOS?" I was turning on to my street and there was no one behind me so I slammed on the brakes and went "Excuse me?"

I've also gotten the v8 swap question in a parking garage once.

 

i take casual carpoolers to work every day. Gets me to sf from vallejo in 40 minutes with no toll so it really works out. They say the funniest things. Most people have no idea what kind of car it is and are surprised when i say subaru. They seem to be expecting to see a crocodile dundee sticker somewhere. Some will say oh yeah this car is australian right.. hahaha.

 

haha, I've had the v8 question asked a couple times too..I guess some people are very unfamiliar with the boxer rumble...I had neighbor call my suby a 'hot rod' once too..
