So either a hard drive in one of my Hyper-V hosts failed, or the RAID controller that is the brain for all the hard drives failed. So it's a great day today.

 

Have spare drive or controller?

 

Hope the hellaflush cars have snorkels while i enjoy getting ready for the snow.

 

Spare drive yes, the system isn't clear on what the issue is since the front panel says that Drive 2 has an error, while the BIOS shows two drives missing. So I am thinking the controller is toast and Dell confirmed that the PERC controller in that model is known to have issues. We've scheduled for the controller to be delivered and installed tomorrow morning, but we'll see.
