Meet at the upper parking lot on Foresthill Rd. at 10am Sunday 10/9. We're going to ride Foresthill Divide Loop, counter clockwise. Approximately 11 miles or so, should be ok for beginners with some experience.
I'm lookin forward to it!
Don't forget your helmets and water!
Map in the next post, *****es.

Say, Sunday sometime in the morning (like meet up around 9-10am).
I've been wanting to get out and ride, and since the weather looks decent this weekend (81 in Auburn this Sunday) I thought maybe we could get out there and ride a bit.
I was thinking of riding the 'Foresthill Divide' trail, which is an 11 mile loop. The following review says the trail is mostly all climbing or descending, but I'm ok with that and think I can make it. This review also says the trail is mostly shaded with trees and stuff, so it will probably make for a nice ride.

Maybe we can run the cool loop as it gets a bit colder out, later in the season?
Let me know if anyone is interested, I'd be down to get out and have some fun with the SRIC crew this weekend

I'm in!
Ask Lance what he thinks about FDLT. :rotfl:
It's actually one of my favorite rides. I haven't been riding my bike as much as I used to, but FDLT isn't too bad. There are only two longer climbs - everything else is short. I've taken beginners out on this trail and they do just fine.
I suggest jumping off from the upper parking lot (just past Diver's Flat Rd.) and running the trail counter-clockwise.

I've only ridden Stage Coach and the Cool Loop, so I shall defer to you on matters of where to start on that trail
.
You wanna post directions to the upper lot? How's 10am up there sound, or is that too late?
as far as directions, I mean, like, how far in is the parking lot, what do we look for before it comes up, etc

2) Start paying attention when you pass Driver's Flat Road
3) Parking lot will be on the left as you enter a big right handed sweeper
The map says the lower lot is 5 miles down Foresthill Road from I-80 and I would expect that the upper lot is maybe another 3 miles past that at the most.
10am works for me. 95% of people ride the trail counter-clockwise so you really don't have to worry about it getting packed.

I think I know where that lot is. If you're heading towards Auburn, there's that kick *** downhill that leads in to a LONG left hand sweeper. Daddy likey that turn
