Started it off going to the California State Mining and Mineral Museum.

This is a huge large gold nuget called the Fricot Nuget discovered in Aug 1856 and it weighs 13.8lbs

our first hike of the trip was to the top of Sentinal Dome. It was about 2.2 miles round trip

A small stop at a pull out called Washburn Point and could oversee a large part of the canyon



the next day we actually hiked to the top of this waterfall on the other side of the canyon

Next day we started our hike along the creek bed heading to the falls


after hiking for an hour or so we get our first view of the Vernal Falls

Total hike to and from the falls was about 3.6 miles

 

We heard that this was for a rescue on top
