i was thinking an 2001 or 2002 used, but i know a fleet manager at a toyota dealer and after talking to him, we're going to look at some of his new models. he quoted me over kelly blue book for our trade in and a very nice price on a new loaded SR5. my first thought was v8, but the newer v6's are 245hp and 280lb-ft.

because we're wannabe yuppies.

because it's cooler than a station wagon (except teh battle wagon) or mini van.

because it can haul all our stuff when we go camping or to the family cabin (2 dogs, groceries for a week, sleeping bags, misc crapola)

because i don't want above mentioned dogs in my car. evAr!!1!1

because it's easily affordable

because it's decent quality

and most importantly, because she currently drives a ford

i love my wrx, but i didn't sign the part of the contract that swore me to lifetime subaru ownership. if we were buying a vehicle for me, i would consider a forester turbo, but this is not going to be my primary vehicle.
