I REALLY, really wanted that job. Hell, I needed it. I think it was just so disappointing because I had made it so far and it was such a laborious and lengthy process...

I heard earlier today... But I still think you are going to be offered a position, like I said it happened when I was hired. 4 weeks after I came on board they had hired 2 more people from "the list".

Well... I am still bummed... Who called and what did they say?

 

Solomon called, which was a pleasant surprise. At least the guy in charge of the decision made the call. That was nice and refreshing. I've gotten used to getting the bad news from some random underling.

He said that I was "VERY narrowly edged out by two other candidates," but that I was on the list and that if anything came up, he would give me a call.

I am not as broke up about it as I was 10 minutes ago, mostly because I remembered what you said about "the list".

I have a couple of other crap jobs lined up, and I might just have to settle... until Solomon calls me back.

I was kinda holding out for this one...

So how many people did they bring in total?

 

Just our intern and some other dude... Had the intern accepted the part time position you would have been in, but I still don't think things are over. Take whatever comes up and if you get a call back just bail...
