Car Info: Bastard child of Saab and Subaru.
So, apparently once you open mobil1 oil

It STAYS open, regardless of the care you take to seal it closed.

....Anyone know how to get oil out of the sound damping material in the spare tire well?

umm.. prolly not going to be able to get it out of the material.. might need to pull up the material and lay new stuff down

I know all about this. I had brand new 5 quart bottle of Mobil1 puncture on a chair rail and leak all over the interior carpet. It's the reason I no longer have blue carpet. Although I really do like the new black stuff.

What a pain.

I just thought of something...


Did you like call and complain to Mobil1 or something? How did they know about the quart and what made them send you a replacement oil haha. I have never had a problem with a Mobil1 bottle resealing... Seems kinda odd, I woulda just bought a new quart of oil haha

Yeah, I emailed them, they said "call me" like 5 minutes later, then gave me an address to mail for my replacement quart.

Bottle should not have leaked like that. A+ for standing behind their stuff like that.
