You have no idea, we have a 'high availability' environment and my boss thought it'd be 'secure' to have specific virtual machines run off the local C drives when we have a cluster shared volume that replicates between two different hosts with all our other VMs. Anyway, now we have to rethink our entire architecture (not surprising since it was all wrong) and all the things I've said we should do are finally being validated.
