People don't pay attention to stickies unless they are bolded. The only way they get bolded (or pop up in your usercp) is if someone has replied since the last time you viewed the thread.

Me too! I bought Turbo the Tax yesterday and I'm ready to go! Now I just have to figure out if I should go married, filing separately or married, filing jointly.

Separately = separate checks.

mike, turbotax asks if you were married before or after July 1st, so that may be a cutoff on being able to file as married or not. i ran ours as married filing jointly and married filing separately, and it was about $500 higher to file jointly.

word of caution... it doesn't work so well doing a joint return and trying to import data from last years return. it will only let you import for one person, and the state tax return part for last year gets really confusing.
