I was in your situation for almost 4 years. I know it sucks, but what are you going to do if they give the Sac position to someone else? Get prepared now so you won't be on the defensive in that interview. If it comes down to it, tell them that if they don't give you that spot you'll be forced to seek out other opportunities.

 

Yeah, I know it sucks losing the security (esp. since you have a family, correct?), but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. You can look for new work while at your current work, right?

I am trying to put this morning behind me, but every time I see someone, they are all, "Oh, I thought you were supposed to be in Sac. Why aren't you in Sac? I thought you were going to Sac."
