I think I found the road bike I'm gonna get. I test rode one at the store and holy geez they're fast. I started coasting and I think I actually sped up .

Gonna get rid of those ghey toe clips though and put on some clipless pedals that will be compatible with my current shoes.

I used to work in the bicycle industry (just to qualify my response a little), and honestly for that price and type of bike, I would recommend a Specialized Sirrius or Crossroads.

Specialized has always made quality frames and spec'd them with good parts for the price. Their geometry is nice and laid-back, stable, not twitchy. And they always back up their products, warranty wise.

Alright, I'll check that out. The thing I like about the Novara is that I LOVE my mountain bike, which is Novara, I love the service at REI, and at full price I get a 10% dividend on the bike, so i'm looking at low $600s for that. REI doesn't sell Specialized

You might like a Giant OCR 3 or TCR 3. They run about the same and they're really good bikes. Giants aren't hard to get either.
