They don't have that much space on their server...

Not to mention, they are a walking outtake...

So yesterday I finally figured out why soldiers are so worried about MOUT situations. Its because idiot civilian range control guys think they know **** about training soldiers. Seeing an O-5 tear into them and get our way was sweet though. Personally shoot over 1000 rounds of .45, over 2000 of 5.56 and about 2 dozen grenade simulators. The team is itching for May.

I used to be Range Control at Ft. Hood. Tank gunnery. If an officer came into the tower and told me how to do my job, I'd shut the range down. Too bad I never got to do that to someone as high as O-5. Just a couple butterbars.

It was total bull****. The guy got on a power trip and wanted to tell us how to train. He's lucky he backed down off the Colonel or I guarantee he would have lost his job as soon as word made it to the post commander. Also, tank gunnery and CQB/MOUT live fires are night and day. It's pretty easy to tell when an Abrams is doing something wrong. Not the case in a team of guys going into a building.

Don't get me wrong, I believe you when you say the guy was being a douche. I was just one-upping your "shut down the idiot civilian story" with a "shut down the idiot officer" story. I can say that the civilians I worked with were pretty good about that stuff. I don't remember any of them getting complaints fromunits for acting like they were important. Of course, they were all retires senior NCOs, so that may have had something to do with it.
