Sac Jobs

I am looking for a job. I got turned down to bag groceries for The Nugget ( i guess the require an MBAgging for that)

Now I am gonna hit up Whole Foods, Best Buy, Home Depot etc... I am mainly concerned about benefits since I am an active person that engages in high risk activities haha.

Any tips? Past Experiences? Recommendations? wow i spelled that without spellcheck...

I almost have my BS in Media Arts/Animation but I hear they don't do that stuff up here very much

Turn your resume into PG&E...it'll take 'em a month to 6 weeks to process but if you are willing to climb, it pays really well (union).

Try Bel-Air/Raleys. My friend worked for them a few years ago and they had good benefits.

Surewest used to have rockin benefits, but I haven't worked there in 4 years and I hear a lot has changed so who knows.

Good luck to you! It's rough, been laid off for a month and can't find anything I am qualified for. As of right now I might be able to get a job holding a sign on the corner.

PG&E may be able to get you a job, but you'll most likely be stationed in SF or somewhere out in the boonies for like 2-5 years. It's rare they actually hire and extremely rare you get to work where you actually want. That being said it's a great job with good pay and benefits. GL with your job hunt!

Thanks guys.

Best Buy called me, they said you need a Masters in anything to be considered...

The sad thing is Best Buy didn't call me.

thanks people

"Hi do you know if you are hiring right now?"

"Go to our website"

"But your website sucks and tells me nothing"

Why can't someone create a place you go and fill out 1 universal application, even if it takes 5 hours to do, so you can send every other place thats supposedly hiring a link to so you don't have to do a "10-50 minute application" that really takes about an hour and a half!

Safeway expects you to click individually on the 50+ job titles they have just to see if they are hiring for that one...That would take a couple hours on its own!

This really tests peoples sanity...I thought paper apps were a ***** but i'd rather fill out my employment history by pen 1000 times than deal with this online BS
