Yeah, I don't expect to be able to get that done before smog is due.
Leave... Installed?
I don't understand where you're going with this. Doesn't seem like there's anything to gain for me.
Chip in on $60?
I aint taking it to Subaru for warranty work.

... the car is branded. You know how I got my black car unbranded as a STAR-only smog every two years after it failed due to high HC's and a visual fail? Oh wait, I didn't. 15 ****ing years, until a Corolla totalled it. Why are you risking that? Put the **** back to stock, or buy a smog. Pay to play.

It's not like I've failed visual with a stock location/stock function but not-stock part (a fully recirculating BPV that should *technically* be covered under consolidated parts).
And I definitely don't have experience with multiple non-stock intercoolers and the PITA it is to get someone to sign off on them if they're having a bad day (since it's guidance and therefore their discretion). Doesn't matter if you're right or if it should be ok, if the customer before you pissed in the tech's cheerios, or his boss lit him up about losing his job if one more borderline car goes through.....you're done, and the car is branded. You have a lot to learn about the difference between "should" and "will".
It's reminiscent of a person stepping out in a crosswalk in front of a speeding semi. Right of way? Sure. Sensible given physics, environmental factors, driver attention, chance, etc? Not in the slightest.
I generally stay quiet. I'm the crotchety old dude noone needs to hear it from, AGAIN. I'm not a millennial, I don't actively seek out conflict or push the boundaries of law enforcement. I'd much rather fly under the radar....when all you seem to be doing is looking for ways to call attention to the fact that you're flagrantly violating the vehicle code. I'm not talking **** about doing it - we all do. But I don't go around screaming at the top of my voice "HOW CAN I MAKE MY DUMB ILLEGAL **** WORK NO YOU SHUT UP YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING WHY ARE PEOPLE TEASING ME?"
I don't get it. You're a smart kid. And believe me, we've all had the "doing it for LULZ" stage, including going for broke on our only car. Now, look around and see how many people in this group are doing anything beyond basic suspension and cosmetic work without a dedicated daily driver and ask yourself if they're all dumb scaredy-cats, people out to pick on you, or if, just maybe, they all learned the hard way and are trying to help? We're *******s, but it's with a purpose. Most of us, anyways.
