Wow, if that didn't happen what would the illegals be burning to convince us to legalize them?

Bliss? Best beach on the whole lake. If they tell you that you can't drive down to the beach because the lot is full, don't believe them. Drive down and check.

I had that same code. Buy a new GENUINE Subaru gas cap from the dealer. "Do not try to cheap out on it and get some generic one," is what I was told. Fixed mine. I guess our cars are getting old and the seal is done.

Same deal, Paul told me to buy a new genuine gas cap from the Subaru dealerships. Our cars are getting old enough that now they're starting to see different things affecting our cars around the same time.

Luckily I just re-organized my old bills with my car and I know where the bill it from Maita in Sacramento. For an '03 WRX Sedan it was:

$ 17.74 - Part # 42031SA010

Just a gas cap for your models. (bring a screw driver and some prying type instrument) to pop off the gas cap from the button that sticks in the swinging gas cap cover. Or do it before you leave your house. Clear out the code, (cause the code goes off after a few engine starts n' trips each) and buy the new cap. Put it on, if that code doesn't come on for the next week you're good.

The gas cap goes bad eventually due to different reasons (I'm guessin' it's the actual rubber on the cap, or the plastic sensors inside that measure pressure of your tank and the atmosphere outside of it or something like that) And that less than 20 fix should be the first step before you really start getting deep in your pocket book for diagnostics.

A gas cap? Why not? They typically stock items that get lost, break or are considered wear and tear. They should have a gas cap avail.
