road side smogging!

road side smogging!
On wensday on florin perkins by jackson highway there was chp with a road side smog crew all day long. I wasn't in my car and it looked like they were stopping at random. Also on a side note my buddy is with sac pd and he told me that they have a gov. grant for stopping any modified vehilces. Officers are allowed to work overtime any time they want just to patrol for modified cars. Its getting scary out there man. How many of you feel like getting rid of your car due to all the attention you are getting? I can't afford to mess around with the law.

this is nothing new, but still sucks. Hopefully it wont stay around for long as it is an obvious form of profiling. THey are pulling over "modified looking cars" and giving them a hard time out on the road. Its already been outlawed to do similar things (pulling over) because of the race of the driver, and soon (if everyone gets their **** together) enough people will complain and the connection between this and racial profiling will be seen...putting an end to this crap.

When they start pulling over modified cars and stop finding things to write them up for they will stop pulling over the modified looking cars.

Who cares if they're profiling, that's a valid way of catching people breaking the law. Remember, you've got to pay to play, even if that means being hassled a bit for having a modified looking car.
