Why didn't you tell the new jorb that you want to put in your 2 weeks before leaving so you can't start till the 3rd? That would show them that you care (or appear to care) about your previous employer and won't just leave your new employer hanging if you ever leave them.

If you don't plan to go back to them i'd say just put in a week.
2 weeks is just a courtesy which would be nice not like my previous help desk dude that put in a one day notice err more like 1/2 day notice.

It's always good to show your new employer that you won't screw over your old one, even if you think they deserve it.

No no, not like that... It's on the new employers note that I "require a two week notice". The thing is he needed somebody by feb. 1st, it's now almost March 1st, so he wanted to see if it is possible for me to push my date up a week so it's easier on him.

Hey, if you're current boss is okay with it, go for it. But if they need you, you should stay the full 2 weeks.

Ya my current boss is pretty cool... I'll ask him, if it's not ok i'll stick it out the full 2 weeks and if new employer isn't ok with that then he probably isn't someone worth working for. Def in good enough terms with my current employer that I wouldn't want to burn any bridges but jumping ship.

Lame... they did a giant move over the weekend, and since I didn't come in and set things up(picked up the camaro). The people that DID do it, did a half *** job. Half the CAT5 cables are missing to the computer, none of the printers are set up or networked locally... so yay for running around the office fixing all these urgent "work stoppage issues" all morning

Anyone else having a problem logging in to their paypal account?

I got an email from Rocklblocker.com telling me the headlight protectors for my 05-07 Dodge Charger would ship today. Funny thing is that I don't own a Dodge Charger. It had my home address and indicated I used paypal to order.

So either my account got hacked (why would someone ship something they wanted to my house?) or paypal is having issues. Either way, I can't check it myself.
