purefix cycle

So i just picked up this purefix x-ray..

im looking to install the front brakes on it, but every time i tighten the clamper thing to the hook it would move the clamp. Pretty much what im saying is that when i tighten the brake, its seems easy for the brake to not center again..

anyone experienced in these bikes? thanks!

You need star washers (toothed lock washers) and a cone wrench to hold the brake in place (not necessarily centered) while you tighten the back nut. Sidepull brakes do not always pull equally on each side, so you'll have to start with a bias to get the same contact point - that should keep them from constantly recentering.
