they closed a part of the 5 due to a nasty accident.

If your heading on the 5 southbound, you'd better take a detour.

Back up start up after the elk grove exit. Ends before the lodi exit!

How hard is it on an AWD differential to pull the e-brake and lock the wheels up?

Neutral. Wouldn't it kill the engine if it was in gear and the wheels locked?

I'd correct you, but I don't know either, that's why I'm asking!

So, as far as your ebrake question...Here's how I was making a Hairpin turn at an Autocross here in NV...in my STi

Haul *** in 3rd gear
Hard Brake
Downshift to 1st gear (Rev match,Clutch in)
Clutch in still on brake
Turn Right, Yank E- ebrake, Release foot brake simultaneously
once the car has pivoted 60 degrees, hard on gas in 1st gear, drift out of turn and try to straighten wheels out under power.

(The time I did this with BANSUVS in my car, I ended up off in the dirt, but it still Rocked)

Happy motoring..
