Ain't nothing wrong with modular homes. For a single-story house, these days the quality is about on-par with any subdivision-type house, without a bunch of BS tacked on.
Plus, the walls are non load-bearing, so when you do build a bigger place, you can raze the inside and have a nice, ummm.....shop.
