yeah dude, the throwback pepsi is way better than any other cola out there right now. except maybe the Hansen's cola, which is pretty much the same kind of thing. i never realized how much of a difference cane sugar vs. corn syrup makes.

If you're think of the medical study that said that the artificial sweetener caused cancer, then I'd suggest rereading it and doing some deeper digging. The "doctors" were ficticious and it was subliminally promoting a different bran of sweetener. If it really caused cancer there would be surgeon general warnings on anything containing that kind of sweetener.

I thinks that's technically the same as 'throwback' in that coke/pepsi from most other countries uses cane sugar. The US uses High Fructose Corn Syrup for everything because there has been a glut of corn since the end of WW2 - the whole reason that HFCS was developed in the first place (far cheaper than cane sugar here). It's actually a really interesting history lesson - check out Michael Pollan's book 'Omnivores Dilemma'.
