the contry club where I was a waiter was crap. I got 7.25/hr plus tips... tips were usually 1-5 dollars. cuz it was just the guys coming in for drinks after a round.

 

I would also suggest restaurant. I can net anywhere from $2500-$4000 a month depending on how many days I work. Not bad for someone like me who is 19. If your also wondering, I work in elk grove. Not sure how elk grove contrasts with vacaville and stuff.

Remember that AFRES members can be easily called up to active duty, Reserve and Guard peoples are usually the first ones in. If you're seriously considering it, talk to me. I can lend some Air Force insight.

 

Yeah... the extra paycheck is the least helpful reason to join the armed forces reserves or guard. The other benfits are more important, but like Josh said- you're likely to serve an overseas tour at some point, which throws some big wrenches in the plans you had that led you to join in the first place.

 

well i kinda was wanting to join in at some point...but all depends if i can seriously get my dream job or not (working at some sort of ferrari facility, whether it be a dealer or something--flame on later ) but i think what i may do is if i get screwed and go into a dept i dont want...ill see if i can work little hours and work at a resturant...i make 14/hr right now at my current job so i keep that and go to a good resturant if i can in my town and make hopefully 10-20$ an hour with tips and all....i jsut dont want to go to a resturant where they make u share the tips you earn which is gay....
