P2097 2006 wrx tr

I'm curious if anyone knows the answer to my question, so here goes:

2006 wrx tr 38k miles bone stock. Out of the blue I get a CEL driving home from work. Scan it, its "P2097 post catalyst rich Bank1/2".
Did a little searching, it seems to have popped up on a few nasioc members cars from time to time.
No one really knows exactly whats causing it. That is what I'm trying to find out. Some say it could be bad o2 sensor, bad connection to it, maybe bad maf, etc. No one is sure. Even the dealer isnt any help. Most people just cleared it once or a few times and it goes away. Some keep getting it still from time to time.
Anyone?
TIA
