One shot, One kill. **Graphic Death/Gore Pictures***
I tried a fence.
I tried hot wire.
I tried leaving the dog out.
But something kept getting my chickens.
Called DFG, they were of little help but mentioned that if I saw the animal harassing my livestock, I could shot it.
Well, last night I got it.
At 1am, the hens went ape ****.
Grabbed the 870, flip flops, and a maglight.
Chaos was in full swing in the coop, chickens and guinea hens running amuck.
Blood.
Feathers.
Entrails.
I followed the trail, but as it petered out, I went back to bed.
An hour later, I heard the distict sound of a cat, howling, as if it was suffering from roid rage..
Taunting me, bragging almost, that he had won.
Back to the hunt.
After 2 hours, I found the victim.

I knew I was close & I knew this cat; he'd be back for his meal later.
I took the high ground behind a poison oak-covered rock, and started my wait.
15 minutes.
30 minutes.
60 minutes.
Heard the faintest of sounds, like dry grass rustling.
Turned on the light and, poof, he made his last mistake.
He went up the tree instead of back to the blackberry thicket along the creek.
Boom.
Problem solved.

Some huge 30lb cat kept coming in my backyard & attacking my little 8lb cat a couple months ago and i ended up seeing him one night, the sonofa***** just sat there like 10 feet from me staring me down. Needless to say that irritated me so I plugged him in the neck with my .177 pellet gun, problem solved.

it's a bengal kitten, scott
