talk about a fun day. a relative (also a building inspector) hooked us up today and helped out bigtime with installing our can lighting. the trim rings are off and staying off until after it's painted, that's why the bulbs are dangling down. we also got a crap load of packing done.

it's brighter than those pics look. so bright that we're looking for lower rating bulbs. unfortunately, these are the newly requred title 24 compliant lights and only 26 watt flourescant bulbs are available, they're roughly equivalent to 100w incandescant.
