One time I put my heatsink on backwards...bye bye processor. It was time for an upgrade anyways.

Haha, on one end of the heatsink is a groove, and somehow I had it rotated wrong so the groove wasn't lined so it wasn't making complete contact with the processor. The heatsink still locked into place though, so I didn't realize anything was wrong until Windows starting shutting down on its own.

1) this is why people like yourself should use Intel chips

The metal latch is pretty flexible and as you can see it doesn't have to stretch much farther than if I had it on the correct way. Sry, I didn't mean to be as gay as Jeremy...

how the hell would you know what a computer was like back in 1990? you were probably like 5 years old.

More like what, 2003 called...

If 1990 called he would probably be running a 386 w/4 MB of RAM and a 100 MB HD I'm guessing.

I remember when my parents upgraded our 486 with an additional 8 MB of RAM for around $300, giving that puter a grand total of 12 MB of RAM!!! I was so happy cause I could play Descent and Mechwarrior 2 then...those were the days...

good luck with that 100mb HD unless you were running some monster government database.. and the drives would be SCSI

a 20MB HD in 1990 was THE ****ING BOMB
