Ca > Nv because of how stupid most Nevadans sound in this thread.
1. The Casinos do not pick up the tax tab. Last time I checked (last spring in Senator Titus’s State Politics class) it is only like 30 something % of the overall taxes that Casinos pick up. Nv gets most of it money in sale of federal land and the stiffen they get off of federal land that is not stated taxed. Local government gets all their money from property taxes. Hence why Nv schools suck ***……….
2. Nv hospitals suck ***, and women can not get their pregnancies covered. Women in Las Vegas area travel to So. Ca just for routine prenatal care appointments. UMC in Vegas has one of the highest level NICUs in the nation but they cant get enough doctors in there or enough patients, because all the high risk patients have left for CA already because there is no doctor who is stupid enough to stay in Nv.
3. In Clark County (Las Vegas) you can still smoke in restaurants, bars, casinos, many places. Only places you can not smoke or county buildings, and business that chose to be non smoking (Red Robin, Denny’s on the weekends in the day time). You can not smoke on the Catholic hospital’s grounds.
4. Turns out the S. Nv is headed to have a major earthquake soon, fear is it will be greater then the S.F one. The dorms at UNLV will fall into the ground, the hospitals will crumble. All of this was released in a recent report after a booboo at an construction site caused massive tremors throughout the city. Las Vegas is going down.
5. If your graduate High School in NV and went there for all 4 years then you get all your tuition paid for to go to college. Millennium scholarship. Yet the Millennium Scholarships has a 74% fair out rate. How stupid do you have to be to fail out of a free education at UNR or UNLV? I mean come on all you need is a 2.0 gpa to get into UNLV.
Thus in conclusions, after living in Nv for 2 years. I can say that CA > NV
Edit: WTF!!!!! Scott why are you logged in on my computer. BASTARD!!!!!!
hmmmm...............I wonder what is on your PM box..........

NICE NV!!
The Department of Energy is trying to bring 77,000 tons of plutonium to Nevada to store at Yucca Mountain in engineered casks over a 50 year period. The State of Nevada is fighting tooth and nail to prevent this nuclear waste from coming to the state. Fighting this waste has given rise to the slogan: Nevada is Not a Wasteland.
NICE NV!!

Vegas is like SoCal. Unnecessary, and we all hope it falls into the ocean soon.
