I know we have a BAY AREA sighting thread already but we need one for the Sacto and surrounding area(s) too as far as tahoe. If i see someone and we exchange greetings i really never look at the BA sighting thread so i decided to start a new thread for the "other people" of the BAIC.


So i'll start it out...

Sighting #1 friday @ 1pm
I saw an ugly filibastard in an WRB 02 wrx with Rotas and a screwed up front lip making a left turn on elk grove florin from Laguna Blvd.

Sighting numero dos...Friday @ 12:30pm

I saw a Silver STi on Stockton Blvd in elkgrove with a Ggreddy Evo exhaust. I was behind you when you decided to make a right on Sheldon road and a left on Power Inn road. Nice sounding exhaust BTW.

Anybody have a WRB sedan that might work for Surewest? I shop the McClellan BX every now and then and have noticed your parking skills (away from others so as to minimize door dings).

Seriously though, Monday 15th Blue STi on Hwy 128 just outside of winters.

 

I saw an 04 silver wrx wagon on my way to Arden mall on NB hwy99 at around 11am. The woman drivng looked a me like i had a dick growing on my forehead but the man in the passenger seat waved at me like it was cool.

i see the WRB sedan on mcclellan all the time. i have the silver 03 wrx on the base.

 

Jlquenga: are you the Pilot i met at S-squared about a month or so ago in the wagon? Or are you the Ret airforce guy i met back during the Mosquito Ridge run last summer that asked me about my ranger an halo wings decals on the back of my wrb sedan?

Returning home from the Regular Saturday Meet tonight at 10:00p.m. on Laguna Blvd westbound, near Target. PSM 02-03 WRX with factory wing, stock wheels and exhaust. Man driving, woman passenger. Pulled up to stoplight, he glances over at my car and I'm about to wave but he never acknowledges me. He takes off from the light but I maintain a steady 45 mph and pass him when he gets caught in traffic. He gets around the traffic and speeds up to pass me on the right. I was thinking that maybe he wanted to wave or something but, nope, he gets by me and then eases off once past me. Okay, Speed Racer, have a Merry Christmas.

There's a PSM wrx in the area with an asian couple that are oblivious to other wrx's in the area... they'aren't in the loop. There's another silver sedan that dorifto88(mike) amd Blackshadow (con) know that seems to be pretty cool but doesn't frequent meets. I saw him once at the 76 off laguna and I5 and we talked for a bit

If you ever see the SonicYellow 02-03 Wagon that works at the PapaJohns at the Laguna/Bighorn intersection give him the finger because he's a young a$$hole of you ask me. Also, Chris aka Awdconvert lives in that area too.

LOL. I was reading along and the part about the Sonic Yellow subie caught me off guard. I doubt that I'll be flipping him off but if I see him driving I'll merge in front of him then gradually slow down until he is forced to go around me - then I'll speed up. I never go to Papa John's.

I thought I mentioned it before but maybe I only told dorifto88 and Black Shadow. I'm not far from Cosumnes River College, just up Hwy 99 from you guys.

Hey 'Sisqocqk',

Only a pilot when I'm flying on my FZ1 or driving the WRX. Also, I was the one that asked about your military service. My dad was in the Army (KIA Vietnam 1967), my oldest brother is retired Army and I have another brother (CW2 computer geek) currently stationed in Germany but currently deployed to Iraq.

Currently running stock (painted black) rims with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s for the winter. The gold 17" OZ wheels with Bridgestones SO3s will go back on sometime in Feb/Mar timeframe.

ME!
If you were wondering who owns a BRP 2001 RS with tinted windows and stock rims, its ME! It also has a Cobb cat back and little yellow 'k4rt3oy' sticker on the back left. I live in Roseville near the Sierra Gateway campus.

 

Spotted an old guy (70+ at the least) in a silver sti on NB I99. Anyone seen this guy? i've seen him twice now. all i have to say is good for him!

 

Monday on a local Sacto evening show, channel 31, an interview with the owner of a PSM RS or WRX, wingless, with OEM WRX wheels. He was putting snow chains on his fronts in anticipation of the chain checkpoint on Hwy 80 en route to Reno.

I see people all the time but never look in BA sighting either.

I saw some guy in a brand new white 04 with out plates on christmas eve heading down elkhorn toward 99. He came up behind me and then along side...I kinda rev'ed on him and took off. Then he caught up again at the light and I waved with my inside light on. Couldn't tell if he waved back.
