Anyone ever try Absinthe? My friends and I ordered some over the weekend...probably will end up crappy. This was the one we bought.

never tried that stuff, but i have had Van Gogh, Absente, and Czech mystery bottle.

let me tell you, avoid the mystery bottle. I was in London and i had just finished 2-3pt of guiness... did 3 shots of absinthe with my former English teacher before we walked past the **** shops to get to some record store he heard about.

I walked down the middle of the street scared ****less by the neon signs advertising **** and once inside the record store i found some Radiohead and chilled at the listen station.

I ended up passing out in an Easy Internet Cafe with my face on the keyboard. two hours later i wandered out, bought some falafel and sat on the curb eating and watching the sun go down. My friends found me in that spot about 6 hours after the absinthe hit my lips, and i don't remember the rest of the night cause we went out drinking.

weird....of all the stuff I read about it causing "hallucinations" were pretty much just rumors and untrue. I read a little bit on it and the thojune/wormwood doesn't cause hallucinations...just pretty much gets you drunk quick. I am looking forward to trying it though.

 

if you really hallucinate on it... i'm going a bottle tomorrow... LOL

oh and I got it in that link on my 2nd post...total was like $130 something and takes 10 days or so from the UK to USA.

 

its worth it if you plan to use it on girls. its happy+drunk juice, perfect for the ladies, or dudes if youre john and thats your thing... not a sit around and drink liquor by any means.

on a funny note... one of the doctors in my new department looks like Nick.

 

i got that beat... the guy sitting next to me looks like the Stapler guy from office space... spitting image, acts like him too. its scary.
