new wrx owner

i wanted to know how long i should wait before i take my car out to the track? I have a new 2006 wrx with 1300 miles on it .

The breakin is only 1000 miles. A lot of people have their car out there the day after they hit that mark..

i took mine out once i got used to driving stick. i think i was at 1600...haha

i would like to point out that "used to" should not be mistaken with "good at".

You can take your car out to the 1/4 mile track as soon as you grow a mullet.

You can take your car to a real race course anytime after 1000 miles.
