That blog is classic: "you don't have to waste your time telling your date what that big thing on the trunck is for" After you explain that to her you can tell her about the wing.

What are the orange bits right of the clock display???
Also I wouldn't say that it is the S204 interior. S204 has metric temperature units on the HVAC dials and temp display and joe american would have a fricken stroke if it came that way. way to go america. Also the metal shift boot surround is more like the ones we get here now.

French police claim their old Peugeot 306 S16s and Renault Megane Coupes are too slow, so they have added 63 new AWD Subaru WRXs to the police fleet.
Snippet: The police forces are among the most faithful clients of the local car makers, but this time the French offerings were just too slow.
"These new vehicles will allow the national police to fight the most serious and most dangerous road offences," the Gendarmerie Nationale, part of the defence ministry, said on its Website.
More info here (in French). Apparently the French cops are getting '05 2.0 WRXs (not the '06 2.5 version)—but with the 6-speed tranny, which is only available in the civilian STI! It also has VDC, which has never been available on a Subaru with a manual gearbox (although the '07 Legacy GT spec.B is rumored to have both the 6-speed and VDC too).
Turbo Subies are used as police cars in a number of countries, so I'm not that surprised here. Frankly (as an owner of a '06 WRX), I think they would make great police cars here too, and not just in the snowbelt.
