My STi is finally Stage 2

After weeks of waiting for the last of my Cobb TBE to get here, it finally showed up earlier this week. My buddy and I put the exhaust and Stage 2 map on at his shop today and I couldn't be happier. The fitment, the looks, the sound, the performance... all better than expected! Cobb definitely makes top notch stuff. Believe it or not, working with the car on a lift, the damn heat shield ended up being the toughest part of the install LOL. Next step is to have Paul do a custom tune for me!

Not sure... I've been talking to Cobb and Rally Sport Direct, trying to get a good bead on when Cobb's TMIC is coming out. That may be next. I'm guessing that it could be 3-6 months, depending on business, before I get around to doing something else. If I do the suspension, it'll probably be Cobb's Stage 1 and maybe a set of Prodrive or Tein springs. Our landscaping has cost me a bundle and it's not even done yet... competing for my mod funds! Somehow grass, bark, and rock aren't nearly as exciting as a 3" TBE and Stage 2 tune or a TMIC... go figure. Still, you have to keep the wife happy too... they get grumpy when you ONLY spend $ on your car and not her or the house... I'm sure that there are many who understand. At least Erica's pretty understanding, as long as her truck gets some attention too LOL.

LOL... kinda. It came in bits and pieces. I got the Accessport, K&N, and GP Moto silencer delete right away so I drove around Stage 1 while I waited for the exhaust... then the downpipe came in, but the catback was back ordered for another 3-4 weeks! I called Rally Sport Direct and had them ship the downpipe, cancelled the catback and ordered that separately from Subaru of Dallas (www.hot-subaru.com). They do a lot of Cobb stuff and actually had several catbacks in stock. I recommend going through them as they seem to carry the most stuff in stock. It'll likely avoid the headache I had for others who want the Cobb stuff.

I think that Cobb says that Stage 2 is good for 350 hp and 385 lb./ft. of torque without the K&N so that's probably a good rough estimate. I'll know more when Paul dynos the car for the custom tune. I should be scheduling that sometime this week! After that I'll have some current dyno numbers for everyone!

No problem, Davis... any time! I'll keep my eyes open for good deals on STi's, but let me know when you're ready to pull the trigger and I'll actively search one out for you.
